As the daughter of celebrity model Yasmin Le Bon and pop star Simon Le Bon, it’s hardly surprising that Amber LeBon has grown up to be quite a beauty.

The evidence was on show in Amber’s recent modelling shoot where her stunning long legs – clearly inherited from her mother – were on display beneath a satin Moschino Micro Mini.

The 19-year-old is now involved in Graduate Fashion Week, modelling  River Island’s GFW capsule collection.

Designed by graduates from previous years, the pieces are modelled by Amber Le Bon, who already stars in River Island’s spring campaign and styled by River Island’s Arieta Mujay. There are some great items to look out for including a pair of PVC harem trousers, a body c

on LWD (Little White Dress), an Agyness-inspired coloured cardi, plus more. The collection is due to hit River Island stores from July!

She is usually the picture of grace and elegance. But as she arrived at a celebrity charity fundraising event in London, Yasmin Le Bon was left fighting for her modesty by an unfortunate gust of wind. The model had chosen to wear a flowing white dress cut to the upper thigh for her appearance. She ended up exposing far more than she had intended, however, after the dress blew open in the breeze.

It left the startled 44-year-old scrambling to cover her embarrassment.
But the mother of three, who is married to Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon, took the wardrobe malfunction in good humour and carried on the night partying with celebrities such as Liz Hurley, Uma Thurman and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Mrs Le Bon, who has been modelling for more than 25 years, was a guest at the Absolute Return for Kids (Ark) charity dinner at Waterloo Eurostar Station in London. Daughter Amber Le Bon has followed her mother into the world of modelling, hopefully she will not suffer the same embarrassment as she models the new River Island Graduate Fashion Week Capsule Collection.

The party, where tables of ten cost up to £100,000, was arranged by Uma Thurman’s financier husband Arpad Busson.

You have to hand it to Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum – they are confronting the height issue head-on, after all the comments after they got engaged. Or maybe that should be head-to-shoulder. When the celebrity couple arrived at the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation gala at Hampton Court Palace last weekend, all eyes were, as ever, upon them.  Seen in public, the couple’s height difference is far bigger than can be concealed by flats for her and built-up heels for him. Dahl and Cullum have been loved up for two years, and are determined that their love will see them through this challenge to the accepted norms.  Biologically, men are generally taller than women and over the generations the ideal height difference for a couple is 4 – 9 inches, that means the man is taller – not the woman!

Goiod luck to them in their marriage but I fear that the strain will tell eventually.  In this photo, Sophie looks as if she is walking with her little brother.  The body language is not good either.  Jamie is reaching for Sophie’s hand, but she is carrying a clutch bag so the move fails.  The engaged couple are also walking in different directions, and are not keeping pace with each other.  How could they – her legs must be 12 inches longer than his! Individually the exceptionally tall Dahl and diminutive Cullum are celebrities in their own right, but together I just think they do not gel.

Sophie stands 6ft tall, to her fiance’s 5ft 4in. A woman of Jamie’s height is considered fairly short, let alone a man.  And a man of Sophie Dahl’s height stands out in most crowds. He is of slender build, she is large boned and has worked hard to slim to a size 10 from her previous size 14 – for which she earned the nickname BFG (Big Fat Giant).

The gossip is that they met on the rebound, and that Jamie makes Sophie feel safe, They need to think about spending the rest of their lives with such a visible social mis-match.  Imagine the wedding photos! Sophie will not be able to look like a fairy princess, claimed by her prince charming who enfolds her in his embrace.  Instead she will look like an attractive statuesque woman marrying a boy!

Megan Fox looked sleek at the UK premiere of  her new movie, “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen” yesterday, despite the atrocious London weather. Megan Fox was recently voted “World’s Number Two Sexiest woman” by FHM and last night she showed true celebrity qualities.

Most of us would have arrived looking as if we had been dragged through a hedge backwards, with or without a limo.  But Megan Fox looked fabulous on the blue carpet, to the delight of waiting fans and the paparazzi.

The actress wore an all black long and flowing number for the launch, showing off a very wordy tattoo across her right shoulder. Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen – is the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster film Transformers, a role for which Fox won and was nominated for various Teen Choice Awards.

Fortunately nobody tried to interview Megan Fox  as she arrived at the premiere.  The actress has become famous as much for her foot-in-mouth gaffes as for her looks and acting ability.  On the subject of her her ‘Brian’ tattoo – dedicated to on/off boyfriend Brian Austin Green, she said: ‘I wouldn’t regret the tattoo if we weren’t together. I can always have a kid and name him Brian.’

Recnetly Megan Fox criticised her performance in the first Transformers movie – despite the fact she is supposed to be promoting the sequel. She said: ‘I’m terrible in it. It’s my first real movie and it’s not honest and not realistic…’  Message to Megan – do not consider PR as your next career!

The Council of Fashion Designers of America last night gave a  special tribute award to our celebrity fashion favourite, First Lady Michell Obama.  Recognising Ms Obama’s “meteoric rise as a fashion icon,” CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg praised her “unique look that balances the duality of her lives”. Michelle Obama acts as trusted adviser and consort to her husband, President Barack Obama, as well as being the busy mother of  their two daughters.

Supermodel Heidi Klum arrived wearing a slinky bacofoil-style Michael Kors asymmetrical dress that covered her baby bump neatly.  Fellow model Molly Sims was so taken with the expectant Mum’s look that she kissed the bump.  In return, Heidi was fascinated by the huge petticoats and underskirts on Molly Sims’ strapless full-skirted Marilyn Monroe print prom dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Klum lifted the skirt to check just how many petticoats Sims was wearing!

Ms Obama accepted her award via a pre-taped video speech. Wearing a crisp white button-down shirt and two strands of pearls, she spoke of fashion as an American “art form” with “ingenuity and craftsmanship that contribute so much to our economy and culture.” Several of Michelle Obama’s favourite designers were present at the awards ceremony, including Jason Wu and Thakoon Panichgul, although neither designer was recognised at last night’s ceremony.

Other celebrity guests at last night’s hot celebrity ticket in New York included Claire Danes, Ashley Olsen, Kirsten Dunst, Michelle Trachtenberg and Diane Kruger, as well as “Twilight” hunk Taylor Lautner and “Gossip Girl” actress Blake Lively.

Celebrity Dads are all around us, and they come in all ages, shapes and sizes.  David Beckham is devoted to his children, and he has often said how much he misses them when he is working away from home, on loan to Italian team AC Milan.

David and Victoria Beckham have decided that the boys should continue to live in LA with Victoria, where they are able to live a more normal life than in Europe.  David says the boys attend school just like normal kids, as the other pupils are from similar celebrity backgrounds.  Things were more difficult when the couple lived in Spain “Other kids in class were continually asking for Romeo’s autograph or taking pictures of him on mobile phones”  David said, sadly.

On Father’s Day hopefully the transatlantic family will celebrate the European version this week as well as the earlier US Father’s day.  A great Father’s Day Present will cheer David up, even if he cannot see the boys on Sunday.

“Everyone knows how much I love my wife and my children – but at the same time I love football.”

“Of course it’s difficult being away from my family but my children have to be settled and they go to school in Los Angeles so it’s important they carry on their normal life.”  Is there no end to Beckham’s perfection?  This guy deserves the best Father’s Day Present from his boys.

It was great to see Susan Boyle make her appearance in the first concert of the “Britain’s Got Talent” tour at the Brimingham NIA stadium on Saturday.

After all the upset and dramas following the finals of the contest, Susan has shown superb strength of character to pick herself up and  take part in the show, and the audience clearly loved her all the more for it.

This reality TV show has a lot to answer for in the way it raises false expectations of celebrity without providing any form of support for the contestants.

After coming in second place to the winners, Diversity, Susan went through a horrible week where she experienced a mini breakdown. Thansk to skilled professional help she managed to take the stage last night and enjoy the accliam of 5000 eager fans.  Susan Boyle was definitely the star they had all come to see, and they forgave a number of missed notes, which went unnoticed as they bathed in her light.

Winners Diversity gave a faultless performance, and little Hollie Steel did very well.  DJ Talent was at his magnificently awful best, and singer Shaun Smith gave a masterful performance.

True adoration was reserved for Susan, who looked fantastic after a modest makeover with a flattering softly waved hairdo that made her look much more the polished celebrity. The shimmering grey dress flattered her shape and made her look slimmer. Let us hope that Susan Boyle can now enjoy her fame and make something from it for herself.

Susan Boyle was equally well received on Sunday night’s show in Sheffield, but on Monday came the sad news that doctors have again advised Susan to rest and she did not appear at Manchester’s two shows. This does not mean she has pulled out of the whole tour: Susan wants to sig to her fans in Scotland, and the Glasgow concert takes place next Monday.  Maybe she will be sufficiently rested by then to fulfil her dream of singing for the home crowd.

If you have looked at this site and noticed that there have not been any new celebrity stories for a while, here is the reason – we had our own celebrity wedding, followed by a secret honeymoon in Turkey.  No paparazzi were allowed into the church, and we turned down a six figure offer from Hello! magazine for the rights to the story.

Well, OK there were no offers from the gossip mags but I wanted the wedding to be a celebration that my own family can enjoy.  Have you noticed how the coverage in OK!  magazine only shows the stars, and never the bride and groom’s family?  While those moneymaking celebrity pictures are being taken, the B list guests have probably been herded into another room, where they cannot invade the shots of those beautiful soap stars.

Samatha Janus held her wedding at Claridge’s two weeks before ours.  Samantha lives in Muswell Hill, North London, where we lived until recently, and she dines often at my favourite local restaurant.  She leads a normal low key lifestyle in this north London suburb, where famous faces are not unusual.  What possessed her to sell the wedding story to OK magazine? It must have been a hefty paycheque to compensate for inviting some of the lowlife so-called Eastenders actors who turned her Claridge’s wedding into a debauched fiasco that would have embarrassed a real East End family. There were punchups, drunks, outfits that were too short and too tight – just what you would expect, really.  Samatha Janus’ real friends and family must have found the event memorable for all the wrong reasons.  David and Victoria Beckham were staying at Claridge’s on the evening of the Eastenders knees-up, and had no prior knowledge of the Eastenders wedding reception.  The OK! magazine staff did their best to involve them in the bash, but the Beckhams wisely kept their distance.  Here is a pic of the couple leaving Claridge’s in a taxi to dine outside the hotel.  Smart move by some true celebrities.

Forty different acts are competing for the chance to perform in the final of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ next week after weeks of nationwide heats to find hidden acts whose celebrity dreams could now be realised. Or to deliver some moneyspinning fodder to Simon Cowell’s empire. For Cowell the competition is an opportunity to view new acts with the option of signing them for a recording contract or as part of his touring show. Cashing in on the popularity of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, Cowell will use the performers as long as they are pulling the audiences.

Acts like the beautifully ugly DJ Talent (real name Tony Gash), with his metal teeth, got through to the final round because of the ugh factor. On the other hand Susan Boyle struck a vein as she represents plain older women, showing that you do not need standard celebrity looks like Amanda Holden to get attention. There are some glamorous performers in next week’s competition, too – Belly Dancer Julia Naidenko

came over from Latvia four years ago and already earns her living as a belly dancer. Her looks and her act caught Simon Cowell’s roving eye – he asked her for en encore and said he would like to see a lot more of Julia. With a full house of ‘yes’ votes, she sailed through to the final. If only the belly dancers at my local restaurant looked as trim as her………

Can a belly dancing act win the overall competition? I doubt it – a singer has much more earnings potential for the backers. But if Julia Naidenko wants to dance in some top class venues, they will be there for the taking after her appearance on the show.

Susan Boyle seems to be sailing through and I suspect she will perform before the Queen even if she is not the winner of the contest (unlikely). She clinched first place in the semi final in spite of a sub standard rendition of “Midnight” from the musical “Cats” by Andrew Lloyd Webber.  In my view, Susan sang in the style of a non-English speaker who did not understand the lyrics.  As a result she was singing the words inaccurately and incoherently. Her voice was also less strong, and quite wobbly.  It’s possible that Susan Boyle sent years perfecting ‘I have a Dream’ as her party piece, and then she needed to work on a new song for the Britain’s Got Talent semis.  She would have done better to perform “Cry Me a River“, the song she recorded on to CD ten years ago.

Susan Boyle was interviewed this week for the first time by Oprah Winfrey, by satellite link. Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell was in the studio and gave Susan his backing to ‘be herself’ in this week’s semi finals. In the barrage of publicity after her first appearance Susan went into hiding after her every move was phohographed by eager paparazzi.  Oprah asked Susan Boyle directly whether she wanted a makeover. Susan admitted she had her hair coloured and a new hairstyle, but she believes  these were only normal things any woman would do in her situation.  Susan Boyle asserted “appearance is everything in this industry and I’m happy with the way I look.” – she told Oprah Winfrey that she does NOT want a celebrity makeover.

The pressures to adopt a celebrity look have been enormous, but I can equally imagine the outcry if she were to undergo a complete makeover.  As part of the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Susan Boyle invited the cameras into her home in Scotland, where she has lived all her life.  The 47 year old virgin coped well in the interview and told Oprah that she is enjoying every second of her new celebrity status.  Cowell told Susan Boyle that ‘practically the whole world’ is backing her in the competition.
