Jennifer Aniston before the breakup
Jennifer Aniston has a new film role to keep her busy after a traumatic split with the publicity-seeking musician turned talk show host, John Mayer. I have no patience with men who bad mouth their partner after a breakup, and there is even gossip afoot that Mayer is planning a kiss and tell book about his affair with Jennifer Aniston. But his insecurity must have been heightened when Aniston mistakenly called him ‘Brad’ in a specially intimate moment! This may have been the trigger for their final parting after an attempt to patch things up following their earlier breakup. But there is something else that could have made jennifer decide to dump John Mayer. He uses Twitter, and he wrote Twitter posts about the breakup. That is the worst breakup method since Jack Berger dumped Carrie Bradshaw by Post It note, in my opinion. Poor Jennifer has failed to find long term love since she split with Brad Pitt, but let’s face it: he is a hard act to follow….
Her new comedy film role with a strong cast of stars will keep Jen occupied, but the plot is maybe emotionally draining for a 40 year old single woman – she reached that milestone birthday last month. The Baster is the story of a woman who uses donated sperm to have a child (that’s where the baster comes in) with the help of her friend, played by Jason Bateman, who helps find an anonymous donor. But Jason’s character is ‘a neurotic and insecure man’ – that should be familiar, Jen. When the child is seven years old he reveals that he swapped the donor sperm with his own. That is all I know – will she clock him over the head with the nearest candlestick or fall in love? Find out next year.
