Presidential helicopter lands in London (pic - AP)
The Obamas are very lucky – they landed at Stansted airport, thirty miles north-east of the capital, and they were swiftly transferred into central London by presidential helicopter. They missed out on the two hour road journey from the airport, instead they completed the last leg of the trip in 15 minutes. They are staying at the US ambassador’s residence which is inside the outer circle of Regent’s Park – one of the more desirable celebrity addresses in London.Ā  Here is a great picture of the welcoming party beneath the helicopter as it landed in the park.
