Pixie Geldof arrives at the Saatchi Dinner
Yesterday at London’s Saatchi gallery Pixie Geldof was photographed arriving for the Vogue Gucci dinner. She was looking reasonably well turned out, in contrast to some recent appearances. Pixie, the second daughter of Bob Geldof has quickly established herself on the London scene in the style of Amy Winehouse – and at a very young age. I am constantly shocked when Amy’s age is mentioned – she is still only 25 – but at 18, Pixie is shaping up to steal her mantle. Except that the only reason Pixie is in the public eye is down to her famous father. At least Amy can sing! Pixie’s front page stories began when she was still only 17, and pictures showed her staggering out of London parties in a bedraggled state. The papparazzi love pictures like that, and it looks as if Pixie is happy to oblige. Not that last night was a real exception, as the photo of her in a cutaway red dress was taken before the cocktails started to flow. If I find a picture of Pixie at the end of the Vogue Gucci party I will share it.
