Susan Boyle sings Cry Me a River
Susan Boyle, the sensation of “Britain’s Got Talent”, has been well known for her singing talent in her local pubs for some time, and now a new recording of her great vocal talent has been released. Susan paid for the recording herself ten years ago in an effort to get her first break. The CD includes a version of Cry Me a River recorded for a millennium charity compilation CD at Whitburn Academy.
The recording has been unearthed by the Daily Telegraph and was sent to record companies, local and national TV and radio talent competitions including Michael Barrymore’s My Kind of People, for which she later auditioned but was rejected. At least her looks were not allowed to get in the way of her talent when she finally arrived at “Britain’s Got Talent”.Click below to hear Susan Boyle singing the Jazz standard ‘Cry Me a River’ and Roberta Franklin’s classic ‘Killing me Softly’.
