Victoria Beckham joins American idol Jury

Victoria Beckham is to become a judge on the United States’ most popular television series, American Idol, following Paula Abdul’s departure. Promoter Simon Cowell favours the choice of the wife of the England footballer David Beckham as a permanent addition to the American idol team. But Victoria Beckham’s business activities may interfere with this. So far, Posh Spice has agreed to appear twice on the show, leaving her free to work on her successful DVB fashion collection and perfume empire. The other uncertainty in her decision rests on David Beckham’s future with AC Milan. It is no secret that Beckham would loike to stay in the Milan team permanently but so far bosses of LA Galaxy have refused to release him form contract commitments there. As a result the couple have been commuting across the Atlantic to cover his duties in Europe and the States, putting added pressure on their marriage. Beckham’s most recent appearance for Galaxy got a hostile reaction from fans, who sense his lack of commitment to their team, and this could lead to an earlier return to Europe. Victoria is already looking a homes and schools in England, so even the American Idol fee of $100,000 per show may not be enough to tempt her.
